Sierra Leone is set to host the 2024 Confederation of African Football Women’s Champions League Qualifiers on its soil.
The tournament will run from August 2nd to the 11th featuring the female champion clubs from each nine zonal members associations.
The 2024 CAF Women’s Champions League WAFU Zone A Qualifiers will be the 4th edition of the CAF Women’s Champions League WAFU Zone A Qualifiers tournament organized by the WAFU for the women’s clubs of association nations. The winners of the tournament qualified for the 2024 CAF Women’s Champions League final tournament.
Last year tournament was hosted by Liberia in Liberia and AS Mande of Mali emerged as the champions with AS Darka of Senegal coming second. However, Sierra Leone came 4th in that tournament following Determine Girls FC of Liberia.
This notable honor underscores Sierra Leone’s exemplary professionalism previously demonstrated in prior WAFU Zone A tournaments, and this will be a great stride for our country to showcase our unwavering support to women’s football.
Not bad.
I see the reason behind the preparation of our football fields .
Hope to see more ahead of Nations League
