According to reports, Sierra Leone national team first choice goalkeeper, Mohamed Kamara (Fabianski) has signed a two-years deal with Guinean top flight side Horoya AC from East End Lions.
Sierrasports reports the transfer on their Facebook page.
Sierra sports further reports that, “Positive reactions from Horoya AC fans on their Facebook page after Mohamed Kamara transfer news was posted few minutes ago. According to some of the fans, KAMARA’s inclusion in the team is the best so far ahead of the new season due to the fluctuating performance of their current goalkeeper.
Just after the African Cup of Nations in Cameroon earlier this year, Kamara revealed that international football club in Africa and Europe were interested in signing him.
He said that South African giants Orlando Pirates were interested in acquiring his services.
The former African champions’ interest in Kamara came following his impressive performance at the Africa Cup of Nations in Cameroon despite Leone Stars exiting the tournament at the group stage.
“I can confirm that Orlando Pirates have shown interest in me,” Nbalie told Sierra Leone Football.com.
“I have been approached by different people, different agents and clubs from Saudi Arabia, Morocco and Algeria, Austria and Germany.”
He was named man of the match for Sierra Leone’s opening game in the tournament against Algeria after making several impressive saves to stop Manchester City’s Ryad Mahrez and teammates from scoring.
His performance against Ivory Coast was also impressive as he also made many saves including blocking Franck Kessie’s penalty to help Leone Stars secured a 2-2 draw.
