Sierra Leone has kickstarted its West African Football Union WAFU zone A U15 competition on a high having thrashed Mauritania by 6:0 at the Samuel Kanyon Doe sports complex in Paynesville city, Liberia.

The Young Stars of Sierra Leone shall return for match day 2 to be faced by Senegal.
The tournament which was supposed to host 7 countries will now see 4 countries battling for the zonal top spot. The tournament’s opening fixture will see the host Liberia playing against Senegal on the 18th of August 2022 at 8 am.
The tournament will be played on a round-robin basis and the team with the highest point will be crowned the champion.
