SLFA President Thomas Daddy Brima announced the arrival of 160 motorbikes at the SLFA Academy on November 7, 2024, aimed at assisting football administrators across Sierra Leone’s 16 districts.
This follows Brima’s earlier pledge to address transportation challenges within football by acquiring 160 motorbikes and eight buses.
Two buses are already in the country, with the remaining vehicles expected by the end of the year. Brima emphasized the importance of transport links in connecting communities, fostering social integration, and promoting public health.
The motorbikes will help reduce logistical challenges and enable administrators to manage football activities more effectively, especially in remote areas.
Brima stressed that transport systems are essential for the success of sporting events, driving economic growth, and promoting national unity.
The SLFA’s ongoing investments in infrastructure aim to support a vibrant football culture and enhance community engagement across Sierra Leone.
