The Sierra Leone Football Association (SLFA) has announced the retention of the existing Male and Female Premier League Boards that served during the 2025/26 season, extending their mandates through the 2026/27 campaign.

According to a public notice issued by the Association’s Executive Committee, the decision is aimed at ensuring continuity, stability, and efficiency in the administration of domestic football competitions, particularly the country’s top-flight leagues.

The SLFA stated that maintaining the current leadership structures will support the smooth implementation of league operations and allow ongoing administrative and regulatory processes to proceed without disruption. The move also reflects the Association’s broader emphasis on strengthening governance and professionalism within Sierra Leone’s domestic football system.

Women’s Premier League Board

The retained Women’s Premier League Board is composed as follows:

Chairperson: Hon. Mariatu Rachel Sesay–Pessima

Secretary: Angella Constance Gabbidon

Northeast Region Representative: Kadiatu Conteh

Western Area Representative: Umu Hassan–King

Northwest Region Representative: Kadiatu Manga Conteh

Southern Region Representative: Mommy George

Eastern Region Representative: Water Campbell

Men’s Premier League Board

The Men’s Premier League Board will continue under the following leadership:

Chairman: Osman Tommy

Members: John Dissa, Hon. Mohamed Papa Bangura, Brima Turay

The SLFA further clarified that three Premier League clubs are rotationally represented on each board every season, bringing total membership to seven per league.

For clubs, players, and other stakeholders, the extension of the current boards signals a period of administrative consistency within the country’s premier football competitions under the Sierra Leone Premier League system. Fixtures, disciplinary processes, and ongoing development initiatives are expected to continue under the same leadership, helping to reduce potential delays often associated with leadership transitions.

While the decision has been welcomed for its emphasis on stability, stakeholders are also expected to monitor future updates on performance assessments and election timelines to ensure continued transparency and accountability in league governance.

The SLFA reaffirmed its commitment to promoting good governance, professionalism, and the sustainable development of football across its competitions, while expressing appreciation to all retained board members for their continued service.
