The Sierra Leone Football Association, through its Technical Department, has officially commenced the second phase of the Confederation of African Football C Diploma Coaching Course at the Association’s Secretariat in Kingtom.

The course forms part of ongoing efforts by the SLFA to strengthen technical capacity and improve the standard of football coaching across the country. The program brings together aspiring and active coaches from different regions who will undergo intensive theoretical and practical training in modern coaching methodologies.

Furthermore, the initiative is being implemented under the leadership of the President of the Sierra Leone Football Association, Babadi Kamara, whose administration continues to prioritize technical development and human capacity building within Sierra Leone football.

Through this program, participants will gain foundational knowledge in Player development, Match Preparation, Tactical Understanding, and Modern Coaching Principles, aligning with CAF standards.

During the Engagement, speaking, the SLFA Technical Director, John Edward Keister, emphasized that the coaching course represents another milestone achievement of the SLFA Executive in building a strong technical base for the future of Sierra Leone football.

The CAF C Diploma Coaching Course is expected to run for several more days, after which successful participants will be awarded CAF-recognized coaching Diploma.
