The Sierra Leone Football Association has yesterday Tuesday July 19th successfully concluded the maiden edition of the National Schools Football Championship at the Wusum Mini Stadium in Makeni City.
St. Edwards Secondary School in Freetown and Cambridge Academy in Waterloo were both crowned as champions for the boys and girls categories respectively. The two shall represent Sierra Leone in the CAF Zonal Schools Football Championship between September and December this year.
The Sierra Leone National Schools Championship kick-started on Wednesday July 6th, 2022 with a total of 60 schools (30 boys and 30 girls) who played in their respective regions, from which 2 schools (1 boys and 1 girls) qualified from each of the five regions to constitute the 10 teams that participated in the nationals.
