The Executive Committee of the Sierra Leone Football Association has issued a press release to strongly oppose the reappointment of Mr. Victor Lewis as Chairman of the upcoming Premier League season.

Despite the previous announcement by the SLFA Media Department confirming Mr. Lewis’ appointment, the Executive Committee has made it clear that proper procedures were not followed in the selection process.

As a result, they have declared Mr. Lewis’ appointment as invalid and have called on the Government of Sierra Leone, specifically the Ministry of Sports and National Sports Authority, as well as sponsors, to reject this appointment.

The public response to Mr. Lewis’ reappointment has been met with criticism and controversy from both sports fans and citizens.
