The Sierra Leone Football Association (SLFA) has officially announced a five-day extension for the second phase of the 2025/26 League Transfer Window, providing clubs with additional time to finalize their player transfers and registration processes.

In a press release issued by the Association, the SLFA stated that the transfer window, which was initially scheduled to close earlier, will now run from Wednesday, 4th March to Sunday, 8th March 2026.

According to the football governing body, the decision to extend the window was taken to enable clubs across the country to complete pending transfer dealings and properly register their players in accordance with the Association’s regulations.

The SLFA emphasized that the extension offers clubs a final opportunity to regularize their squads ahead of the continuation of the league season.

“All clubs are advised to take advantage of this extended period to finalise their transfer activities,” the Association stated, warning that no further player registrations or transfers will be accepted after the new deadline of March 8, 2026.

The extension is expected to give clubs the needed flexibility to conclude negotiations, complete documentation, and ensure that all player movements comply with league and federation rules before the window officially closes.

Football stakeholders have been encouraged to adhere strictly to the new timeline to avoid administrative complications that could affect player eligibility during the ongoing season.
