The Sierra Leone Football Association (SLFA) has announced new mandatory standards for all premier league teams, requiring them to conduct pre and post-match press conferences.

This initiative is designed to elevate the visibility and credibility of the league, both locally and internationally.

According to the SLFA, pre-match press conferences must be held at least one day before the match, with the head coach and/or team captain discussing team readiness and expectations. Post-match press conferences should take place immediately after the match, featuring the head coach and a key player reflecting on the game.

The SLFA emphasized the importance of conducting these press conferences professionally, with proper arrangements made for media access and participation. It is the responsibility of each club to ensure timely coordination with media representatives.

SLFA further urged all teams to cooperate in implementing these new standards, as they are crucial in establishing the Sierra Leone Premier League as a respected competition.
