The Sierra Leone Football Association (SLFA) has announced that its previously postponed Ordinary Congress will now reconvene on Saturday, April 26th, 2025, at the CATCO International Hotel, Wilkinson Road, Freetown.
The initial session, which was scheduled for April 5th, had to be called off due to what the Association described as “uncontrollable safety and security concerns.” According to the SLFA, comprehensive consultations with relevant authorities and stakeholders have since been conducted to ensure that all necessary measures are in place to provide a secure environment for the conduct of the Congress.
In a statement issued on Wednesday, the SLFA reaffirmed its commitment to transparency, integrity, and the smooth functioning of its democratic processes. The Association assured all delegates, observers, and partners that adequate steps have been taken to facilitate a successful event.
Additionally, the SLFA noted that all previously approved media accreditations remain valid. Journalists are therefore encouraged to adhere strictly to the original accreditation list, as no new entries will be accepted.
The SLFA expressed appreciation to its stakeholders for their patience and continued support as it works to advance the development of football in Sierra Leone.
