The newly constituted Organising Committee of the Sierra Leone Football Association (SLFA) has formally begun work, with the FA Cup identified as its first major assignment.
Members of the committee were engaged in a meeting at the SLFA Secretariat, chaired by SLFA President Babadi Kamara, who outlined the committee’s expectations, scope, and strategic importance within the Association’s competition structure.
President Kamara stressed that the Organising Committee is central to planning, coordinating, and delivering SLFA competitions, emphasizing the need for professionalism, transparency, and effective collaboration. He explained that beyond the FA Cup, the committee is expected to provide technical guidance and advisory support to the SLFA Executive Committee on competitions such as the Men’s and Women’s Premier Leagues, Division One and Two leagues, playoffs, and other major SLFA events.

Responding on behalf of the committee, Chairman Abdul Osman Turay welcomed the responsibility entrusted to them, and he reaffirmed their readiness to work closely with the SLFA leadership to ensure the successful execution of all assigned competitions.
