The Sierra Leone Football Association (SLFA) announced that two of its staff members have successfully completed a pivotal Competitions Management Seminar organized by the West African Football Union (WAFU) in collaboration with the Confederation of African Football (CAF).

The seminar took place in Banjul, The Gambia, from April 28 to 29, 2025, and the SLFA staff that participated in the seminar were Sorie Ibrahim Sesay, Competitions Director, and Miriam Heroe, TMS Manager.

It aimed to enhance the skills and knowledge of General Coordinators and Match Commissioners from across the West African sub-region regarding the planning, organization, and execution of football competitions. The emphasis was on aligning their practices with international standards.

In a statement, SLFA expressed its pride in Mr. Sesay and Ms. Heroe for the accomplishment. The association reiterated its commitment to capacity building and professional development within the football management sector, acknowledging the importance of such training initiatives for the growth of sports in Sierra Leone.
