Week 27 of the Leone Rock Premier League was marked by thrilling matches, stunning goals, and crucial wins for several teams, including Mighty Blackpool and Ports Authority.

Abacha FC defeated Luawa FC 1-0, with James Kargbo’s early goal proving decisive as Abacha FC secured a vital win, moving them to 11th place with 32 points. Luawa FC, meanwhile, sit precariously close to the relegation zone with 28 points.

Also, Ports Authority came from behind to beat SLIFA FC 2-1, after falling behind to Abubakarr Kargbo’s 37th-minute goal, Ports Authority staged a remarkable comeback with goals from substitute and man of the match winner Alphajor Kamara (69′) and Musa Kamara (84′). This win lifted the Ports Authority out of the relegation zone, and they now sit 13th with 29 points. SLIFA FC remain 9th with 35 points.

Furthermore, Bai Bureh Warriors defeated Diamond Stars 2-0 with goals from Alusine Taribo Kamara and Mohamed Kamara securing a convincing win for Bai Bureh Warriors, who maintain their 4th place with 46 points. Diamond Stars, meanwhile, occupy 10th position with 34 points.

Mighty Blackpool edges Freetown City FC 2-0. Samuel Kamara’s brace proved decisive as Mighty Blackpool secured a crucial win, moving them closer to safety with 27 points. Freetown City FC, however, remain at the bottom of the table, struggling to avoid relegation.

Also, East End Lions beat Bhantal FC 1-0, with Saidu Bangura’s early goal from a set piece proving enough for East End Lions, who continue to lead the table with 57 points. Bhantal FC failed to capitalize on the opportunity to close the gap- they remain 2nd on the log.

In Makeni, Old Edwardians defeat Wusum Stars 1-0. Momoh I Sankoh’s goal secured a vital win for Old Edwardians, who move up to 6th place. Wusum Stars, meanwhile, sit 12th with 30 points.

Additionally, Star Sports Academy wins convincingly with a brace from Larry Siemon, led Star Sports Academy to a 2-0 win over Kamboi Eagles, who occupy 17th place in the relegation zone.

Bo Rangers beat Bullom Stars 2-1 to sit comfortably in the table. Ibrahim Turay’s brace secured all three points for the Rangers.

And finally, FC Kallon thrashes Wilberforce Strikers 7-5. In a thrilling match, FC Kallon’s attacking midfield maestro, Yusif Kargbo, provided three assists and won the player of the match award. Yusif now has five consecutive man-of-the-match awards.
