Sierra Leonean born Chelsea Defender Trevor Chalobah has expressed strong support for Leone Stars Participation in the African Cup of Nations.
The Leone Stars have returned to make their first appearance in the Continental competition in January since their last outing in 1996.The defender posted on his official Facebook page that
“Very special moment for our country to be in the AFCON, I wish the team all the best“, He wrote.
The 22-year old was born in Freetown but he is yet to play for the West African Country, even though he has played across all youth levels for England.
The head coach of Leone Stars, John Keister has said that the team is making efforts to convince the Chelsea Defender to represent Sierra Leone. However, the coach believes as of now the young defender thinks he has a chance to represent England
