Sierra Leone’s Chief Minister, David Moinina Sengeh has shared an analysis of the Directorate of Science, Technology & innovation (DSTI) 468 result Checker platform since it was launched three years ago.
He posted the report on Twitter with a caption: “These numbers are mind-blowing & demonstrate what’s possible when you use technology to improve service delivery. Today, millions of parents nationwide can immediately know the results of their children who take national transition exams by SMS for free @DSTISierraLeone @UNICEFSL”
The analysis shows number of users, SMS processed, reach and usage by exams from the year 2021 – 2022, 2023.
It shows that 12,316, 102 people used the 468 result Checker since it was launched. An amount of 17,604,295 SMS were processed and 1,312,540 reach was recorded for the three years it has been functioning .
For the Usage by Exams, it recorded 21.4% for WASSCE, NPSE 41.8%, BECE 32.7% and OTHERS 4.1%.
