The Sierra Leone Civil Aviation Authority (SLCAA) has confirmed that passengers aboard SN Brussels Flight SN 1241, originally scheduled to depart Brussels on Friday, July 19, faced a 24-hour delay at Freetown International Airport.
The disruption left travelers stranded, sparking concerns over fair treatment and operational transparency.
In a public notice, the SLCAA acknowledged the incident and urged affected passengers to contact its Consumer Protection Division if they believe they were treated unfairly or have unresolved grievances.

The authority emphasized its commitment to upholding the highest standards of safety, accountability, and passenger rights in air travel to and from Sierra Leone.
The cause of the delay was not disclosed, but the SLCAA’s statement underscores its role in monitoring airline compliance and addressing consumer complaints. Passengers are advised to seek redress through official channels as investigations into the matter continue.
