The Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) today reaffirmed its strategic partnership with the Sierra Leone Broadcasting Corporation (SLBC), underscoring the role of the media as a vital force in the fight against corruption.
The renewed Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed at the SLBC Headquarters, New England Ville, Freetown, on the 30th July, 2025, reflecting a mutual commitment to deepen public engagement, strengthen civic education, and sustain the national momentum against graft.
Furthermore, the strategic partnership aims to enhance collaboration and strengthen efforts to promote integrity, accountability, and transparency within the public service.

The signing was led by Abubakarr Turay, Director of Public Education and External Outreach, and Fatima B. Koroma, Head of Commercials at SLBC.
Also present were Sylvanus Blake, Public Relations Officer of the ACC, and Salia Abdul Coker, SLBC’s Head of Commercial and Marketing Services, and other staff of both institutions.

The partnership continues to position both institutions as strategic allies in shaping public discourse and promoting a culture of integrity and accountability across Sierra Leone.
Finally, the partnership between the ACC and SLBC will involve joint initiatives to disseminate information and raise awareness about anti-corruption efforts, ensuring that public messages reach a wider audience through various media platforms. ACC aims to leverage the reach of SLBC to promote transparency and accountability within the public sector.
