The Legal Aid Board (LAB) office in Bo has paid a courtesy visit to the newly transferred Regional Police Commander South, Assistant Inspector General of Police (AIG) Andrew Mustapha Kamara, at the Police Headquarters in the Southern Region.
The engagement, which both institutions described as fruitful, was aimed at familiarizing with the new police leadership and strengthening collaboration in the pursuit of justice, fairness, and access to legal support for vulnerable groups.
Leading the LAB delegation was Regional Manager, Mr. Emmanuel B. Sam, accompanied by four paralegal staff. He expressed confidence that the long-standing working relationship between the Police and the Legal Aid Board would continue to thrive under the leadership of AIG Kamara.
In his response, AIG Kamara emphasized the importance of synergy between law enforcement and legal institutions in maintaining peace, protecting rights, and building public trust. He assured the LAB team of his open-door policy and reiterated his commitment to work closely with justice sector partners to better serve the people of the South.
The visit marks a renewed step in reinforcing institutional cooperation to promote justice, security, and accountability in the region.
