The local football community is in mourning following the death of Alie Badara, the former team manager of Bo City FC. Badara, who was also a serving police officer and a passionate sports enthusiast, passed away after a prolonged illness.
News of his death has sent shockwaves through the public, his family, friends, and the sporting fraternity in Bo. He was widely known not only for his dedication to local football but also as a die-hard supporter of England’s Arsenal Football Club.
In a statement announcing the passing, Ing David Lebbie wrote on behalf of the football community: “With a heavy heart, the football fraternity in Bo announces the death of Bo City FC Team Manager, Alie Badara, after battling with a long-time illness. Till his death, Badara was a police officer and a passionate sport lover (Football & Volleyball).”
Tributes have poured in from those who knew him. Joseph M. Kamara, expressing his grief online, wrote: “I never thought I would be saying ‘rest in peace’ to my brother at a time like this… Sleep on and take your rest, brother. Till we meet again.”
