A high-level delegation from the World Health Organization (WHO) and the World Bank held an engaging dialogue with the Honorable Vice President of Sierra Leone, praising the country’s remarkable strides in human capital development and health sector reform.

The visiting partners lauded Sierra Leone’s swift progress in strengthening maternal health care services, describing these improvements as vital indicators of a resilient health system and a cornerstone for national development.

During the meeting, the Vice President reaffirmed Sierra Leone’s commitment to achieving Universal Health Coverage (UHC), emphasizing the government’s determination to ensure that every citizen has access to quality health services without financial hardship.
