The Commissioner General of the National Revenue Authority (NRA), Jeneba J. Bangura, has engaged representatives of commercial banks to strengthen collaboration in support of effective revenue administration.
During the engagement, Bangura commended the banks for their contribution to the achievement of the 2025 revenue targets and emphasised the need for the full implementation of the existing Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the Authority and the banking sector.
Discussions focused on improving the integration of the Integrated Tax Administration System (ITAS) with banking platforms to enhance efficiency, promote transparency, and reduce transaction delays. The Commissioner General also highlighted existing communication gaps and called for improved information sharing between the NRA and commercial banks.
Commissioners from the Authority’s operational departments shared their perspectives on strengthening coordination and improving service delivery.

Speaking on behalf of the banks, the President of the Sierra Leone Association of Commercial Banks, Mohamed Alhaji Samoura, reaffirmed the banking sector’s commitment to continued cooperation with the NRA. Both parties agreed to strengthen collaboration, enhance system integration, and improve communication going forward.
