APC flagbearer aspirant of the All People’s Congress (APC), Sheikh Alhaji Mohamed “Omodu” Kamara, popularly known as Jagaban, has demonstrated his commitment to education by investing NLe 500,000 in Baptist School, alongside donating ten computers and providing lunch for all pupils.
The intervention, which benefits students from Nursery 1 to Junior Secondary School (JSS) 3, forms part of Jagaban’s broader engagement with community development, particularly in the education sector.
Jagaban was warmly welcomed by pupils of the school with a touching song expressing gratitude for his visit and support. Speaking during the event, the JSS Principal, Mrs. Naure Fewiy, commended him for fulfilling a promise he made during a previous visit, when he listened to the challenges facing the institution. She described his return as a pleasant and meaningful surprise for both staff and pupils.

The APC Constituency Secretary, Strasser, disclosed that the NLe 500,000 donation will be managed transparently and used to significantly improve the school’s infrastructure.
Planned projects include the provision of desks and chairs for all pupils, installation of whiteboards in classrooms, construction of proper toilet facilities, and the renovation of the principal’s offices into modern, well-equipped working spaces.

Strasser further praised Jagaban’s compassion and dedication to improving the lives of ordinary people, sentiments that were echoed by loud applause and expressions of hope from community members in attendance.
In his remarks, Jagaban thanked the school administration and pupils for the warm reception, describing the experience as deeply fulfilling.
“Thank you very much to the administration of Baptist School for such a warm welcome, and to my children, thank you for the heart-touching song. You made me feel at home. Today, we are here to share lunch together because this is what gives me satisfaction. Uplifting lives is in my DNA, and this school will always be in my heart,” he said.

Delivering the vote of thanks, the Head Teacher for Classes 4–6, Mrs. Isha Kargbo, described Jagaban as a rare example of selfless leadership and religious tolerance.
“Today you have done it again. I have never seen a politician like you. You are a true leader who demonstrates religious tolerance. Even though this is a Christian school, you have shown love and support. From today, you have the full support of the administration, the pupils, and their parents. You are now a full member of this school,” she stated.
The event concluded on a note of appreciation and optimism, with school authorities, pupils, and parents expressing gratitude for the support and hopeful expectations for sustained engagement in the future.
