President Julius Maada Bio has extended warm Ramadan greetings to Muslims across Sierra Leone and in the diaspora, calling for unity, compassion and renewed faith as the holy month begins.
In a message shared at the start of Ramadan, the President offered heartfelt wishes to “all Muslims at home and abroad,” praying that the sacred period would bring spiritual renewal and strengthen bonds of service within communities.
“As you begin this holy month, may its blessings renew your faith, deepen our compassion and unite us in service to one another,” the President stated.
Ramadan, observed by Muslims worldwide as a month of fasting, prayer and reflection, represents a time of spiritual discipline and generosity. President Bio emphasized the enduring values of patience and charity, expressing hope that these virtues would extend beyond the month itself.
“May your fasts be accepted, your prayers answered, and may the lessons of patience and generosity endure throughout the year,” he added.
The President’s message comes as Muslims nationwide embark on the month-long fast from dawn to sunset, engaging in increased devotion, charitable giving and communal solidarity.
