President of the Sierra Leone Football Association (SLFA), Babadi Kamara, held a high-level meeting with Drucil Taylor, Esq., a member of the CAF Disciplinary Committee and former Chairman of the SLFA Ethics Board, to discuss concluding the long-running 2014 match-fixing investigations.

The discussions focused on strengthening football legislation within the SLFA and exploring mechanisms to bring closure to the case involving certain players and officials.

President Kamara emphasized his commitment to securing a definitive resolution. He noted that the matter, unresolved for over a decade, requires urgent yet procedurally sound handling to uphold justice, transparency, and the integrity of Sierra Leonean football.

Kamara thanked Taylor for attending the meeting and commended his role at the continental level. He highlighted the value of having a Sierra Leonean serving within CAF’s disciplinary framework for the benefit of national football administration.

Taylor provided a detailed update on the 2014 case and other disciplinary matters previously handled by the former SLFA Ethics Board before its dissolution in 2023. He pledged to cooperate with the current SLFA structures by sharing relevant files and documentation.

He also assured support for the present Ethics Board, aiming to provide full procedural and factual clarity to ensure a comprehensive and lawful determination of the outstanding case.

The meeting concluded with both parties agreeing that strict adherence to due process, institutional continuity, and clear evidence will be critical to achieving a final and credible resolution.
