The National Revenue Authority’s (NRA) Customs Services Department (CSD) has received three new Toyota Land Cruiser vehicles from the Commissioner General, presented by the Director of Administration, Fredricka M. Kella.
The vehicles are set to be deployed at key border outposts, including Gbalamuya in Kambia District, Lungi, and Jendema in Pujehun District. The addition of the fleet aims to strengthen customs operations by enhancing revenue collection, border surveillance, and anti-smuggling efforts at major crossing points.
The Commissioner of the Customs Services Department, Tennyson Bio, expressed gratitude for the support, noting that the vehicles will allow officers to navigate challenging terrains more efficiently and perform their duties effectively.
Meanwhile, the Assistant Commissioner for Border Controls and Management, John B. Amara, highlighted that the new fleet will empower officers to maintain a proactive presence at the borders and ensure accurate revenue collection for the state.
