The Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) of Sierra Leone has officially announced the sale of three high-value properties seized during recent anti-corruption investigations.
Following independent valuations and High Court orders, the ACC is now accepting private bids to recover funds for the state.
ACC Commissioner Francis Ben Kaifala confirmed that the public has until April 3, 2026, to submit their offers for the properties, which include a fully furnished mansion and an incomplete building previously considered for a children’s hospital.
The assets, classified under the ACC’s “unexplained wealth” and asset recovery regimes, are being sold strictly on an “as-is” basis:
Ogoo Farm Mansion (Western Area): A fully furnished, four-storey building and land located at No. 8 Cemetery Road, Off Peninsula Road. Previous ACC updates described this as an ultra-modern seaside property featuring smart home systems and a penthouse view.
Black Johnson Property (Western Area): An unfurnished two-storey building situated Off Peninsula Road. This property was forfeited to the state in January 2026 following a settlement with former National Revenue Authority (NRA) official Abu Kamara.
Bo City Property (Southern Province): An incomplete two-storey building located near Dohas Hotel. Seized as unexplained wealth, the ACC previously noted the buyer will be responsible for finishing the construction.
The sale is being conducted by Private Treaty (sealed bids). The ACC has outlined the following terms for interested buyers:
Submission Rules: Buyers must submit sealed bids clearly stating the property of interest, the proposed price, and any potential contingencies.
Deadline: All bids must be submitted no later than Friday, April 3, 2026.
Location: Bids should be addressed to The Commissioner and delivered to the ACC headquarters at Integrity House, Tower Hill, Freetown.
Inspections: Prospective buyers have a 14-day window from the March 18 notice date to schedule property viewings.
Successful bidders will be notified after a formal review process. The proceeds from these sales will be returned to the national treasury to support public development.
