A 45-year-old Guinean national, Alpha M. Jalloh, has been arrested at the Bo Waterside border crossing after security officials discovered a large sum of cash and suspected drugs in his vehicle.
The arrest occurred around 5:00 PM during a routine border inspection. Jalloh was driving a blue Toyota minibus bearing Guinean license plate BH 5002 when officers stopped the vehicle for routine checks.

During the search, authorities reportedly found two concealed packages suspected to contain Tapentadol and Tramadol. In addition, more than $1.1 million in United States dollars was recovered from the vehicle, prompting concerns over potential drug trafficking and money laundering.

Security agencies, including the Liberia Immigration Service, have launched a thorough investigation to trace the source of the cash and determine whether Jalloh is linked to a larger criminal network. The suspect remains in custody as inquiries continue.
