The alleged incitement case against Mohamed Moriba, a politician from the main opposition All People’s Congress (APC), was again adjourned on Wednesday by Magistrate John Manso Fornah at Pademba Road Court No. 2 in Freetown.

Moriba faces a single count charge of incitement contrary to law.

According to the police charge sheet, the accused allegedly created an audio and video clip containing inciting content on Saturday, 27th December 2025, at Kamalo Village in Karina District, North-West Province. Police allege the content was intended to cause mayhem, disorder, chaos, and unrest in the country, and was later posted on the Salone Gossip Hut TikTok account.

When the charge was read and explained to the defendant, no plea was taken.

Defence Counsel C. Kamara Esq. sought a short adjournment to enable him to secure bail on behalf of the defendant, noting that previous adjournments had been made at the instance of the defence.

Magistrate Fornah refused bail, citing the seriousness of the offence, and ordered that the defendant be remanded at the Male Correctional Facility in Freetown.

The matter has been adjourned to 2nd April 2026 for further proceedings.
