The Government of Sierra Leone, under the leadership of President Julius Maada Bio, is set to host the Leadership Colloquium 2.0 and African Young Leaders Convergence in Freetown later this month.
The two-day event is scheduled to take place from 12 to 13 May 2026 at the Bintumani Conference Centre under the theme: “Reimagining African Leadership: Courage, Accountability, and Innovation in an Era of Global Uncertainty.”
The conference is expected to bring together influential leaders and emerging changemakers from across the continent to discuss governance, leadership transformation and Africa’s future in an increasingly uncertain global environment.
Among the distinguished speakers expected at the gathering are Patricia Scotland, former Secretary-General of the Commonwealth of Nations; Ogiame Atuwatse III, the Olu of Warri Kingdom in Nigeria; and Joyce Banda, former President of Malawi.
The event is expected to serve as a platform for high-level dialogue on courageous leadership, accountability, youth empowerment and innovation, while promoting stronger collaboration among African leaders and future generations.
