Young Sierra Leonean coach Bockarie Nathaniel Jumu has outlined his growing ambitions in football coaching following the completion of his CAF C Diploma, describing his journey as one of continuous learning and development.
In a recent Facebook post, Jumu announced that he has successfully completed the CAF C Diploma in Sierra Leone, is nearing completion of the UEFA B Diploma, and intends to pursue the CAF B Diploma as his next step.
“Always learning. Always evolving. Football never stops teaching, hunger for more!” he wrote, thanking the Sierra Leone Football Association (SLFA) for its support throughout his coaching education.
The CAF C Diploma, awarded under the Confederation of African Football, serves as a foundational qualification for coaching development, focusing on essential principles of team management, player development, and tactical understanding.
Jumu’s progress, which combines both CAF and UEFA coaching pathways, reflects a growing emphasis on aligning local coaching standards with international best practices.
He noted that his achievements are part of a broader learning journey rather than a final milestone, highlighting the importance of continuous improvement in modern football coaching.
The young coach has set his sights on the CAF B Diploma, a higher-level qualification designed to prepare coaches for more advanced responsibilities, including competitive match preparation and leadership roles at club and academy level.
If completed, his progression through CAF C, UEFA B, and CAF B certifications would position him for potential roles in elite academies, national youth setups, and professional clubs.
Jumu’s development is being viewed as part of a wider trend of increasing professionalism in Sierra Leone football, where more coaches are pursuing advanced certifications to improve standards within the domestic game.
His journey reflects a growing culture of coaching education in the country, driven by ambition, discipline, and a commitment to long-term football development.
