The Union of Musicians All Stars Sierra Leone, widely known as ALL-STARS, has publicly declared its support for musician Vida following her public testimony about alleged sexual assault and rape.

In a statement issued on May 27, 2026, the union said it was extending “heartfelt solidarity and unwavering support” to Vida, describing her decision to speak publicly about her experience as courageous.

The statement, released under the banner “For Immediate Release,” emphasized the emotional and social challenges survivors often face when sharing such experiences publicly.

According to the union, speaking out against sexual violence often comes with stigma, fear, and intense public scrutiny. ALL-STARS stated that no woman should be subjected to violence, abuse, or forced intimacy under any circumstances.

The organization further condemned all forms of sexual and gender-based violence and called on members of the public to respond to survivors with empathy, dignity, and humanity instead of judgment or harmful speculation.

“To Vida, we say: you are not alone. Your voice matters, your pain is valid, and your truth deserves to be heard with respect,” the statement read.

The union also reaffirmed its commitment to advocating for safer spaces within society and the entertainment industry, stressing the need for an environment where women can live, work, and create without fear of abuse, exploitation, or violence.

The development has drawn attention within the entertainment industry and among members of the public, as conversations around sexual and gender-based violence continue to gain prominence in Sierra Leone and beyond.
