The former Sierra Leone National Male Football Team, Leone Stars Captain, Steven Caulker, has outlined his plan to coach in the English Premier League by 2035, 10 years from now.
In a LinkedIn post, the former Leone Stars Captain, shared his achievements in the recent past, including qualifying Icelandic team, Stjarnan, for Europe and helping Konyaspor finish at the top half of the Turkish Super League.
Caulker also shared some insight into his work as a guidance counsellor assisting young athletes and people to overcome addiction and mental issues.
“I am strong advocate for mental health,” he said. “Having had vast lived experiences with depression, anxiety, and addiction, I know firsthand how challenging and lonely it can be.”
He also mentioned his experience in the media industry, serving as a football pundit, public speaker and podcast host, among others.

Caulker is revered among football fans in Sierra Leone for his heroics at the 2021 AFCON competition in Cameroon, where he led the Leone Stars as a captain, securing a goalless draw against the defending Champions at the time, Algeria, and a two-all draw against a star-studded Ivory Coast. Caulker provided a crucial assist in injury time to secure a point for the Leone Stars.
