The National Early Warning and Response Mechanism Coordination Centre (NEWRMC-SL) has celebrated its fifth anniversary, commemorating five years of dedicated efforts in strengthening early warning systems, conflict prevention, and peacebuilding across Sierra Leone.
The official ceremony brought together key stakeholders, including the Minister of State in the Office of the Vice President, the ECOWAS Resident Representative, the Peace Ambassador, and the leadership of the Independent Commission for Peace and National Cohesion (ICPNC), among others.

A major highlight of the event was the unveiling of NEWRMC-SL’s new logo, symbolising a renewed vision and commitment to its mandate. The occasion also featured the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding aimed at enhancing collaboration and coordination in early warning and response mechanisms.
The anniversary celebration served as both a reflection on the Centre’s achievements over the past five years and a reaffirmation of its role in promoting peace and stability nationwide.

Stakeholders extended congratulations to NEWRMC-SL on reaching this significant milestone, expressing optimism for strengthened partnerships and continued progress toward building a peaceful, safe, and resilient Sierra Leone.
