Mohamed Omodu Kamara, popularly known as Jagaban, an All People’s Congress (APC) flagbearer aspirant, has delivered 25 brand-new, customised buses to Sierra Leone in a move aimed at strengthening the country’s public transportation system and improving mobility across communities.

The newly acquired buses were specially designed to meet the demands of Sierra Leone’s road network and public transport environment.

According to information released on the initiative, the vehicles are equipped to provide safer, more comfortable and reliable transportation services for commuters across the country.

The delivery is expected to enhance access to public transport by reducing waiting times and easing the movement of passengers, particularly workers, students, traders and families who depend on commercial transportation for their daily activities.

The initiative is also anticipated to contribute to lowering transportation costs by increasing the availability of buses on major routes, while improving connectivity between communities and supporting more efficient movement of people and goods.

Beyond improving transportation services, the deployment of the buses is expected to generate employment opportunities for drivers, conductors, mechanics and other workers within the transport sector, thereby contributing to local economic activity and livelihoods.

The delivery of the 25 customised buses underscores Jagaban’s stated commitment to supporting infrastructure and transportation development, with the initiative expected to play a role in enhancing public mobility and expanding access to dependable transport services across Sierra Leone.
