The Government of Sierra Leone has declared Tuesday, August 25, 2026, a public holiday nationwide to mark the Feast of Moulid-Un-Nabi.
According to a public notice issued to inform the general public, the holiday will be observed in commemoration of Moulid-Un-Nabi, which marks the birth of the Prophet Muhammad.
The declaration means that public offices and institutions across the country will observe the holiday on Tuesday, August 25, 2026.
The general public has therefore been informed to take note of the public holiday and make the necessary arrangements accordingly.
