Sierra Leone’s main opposition party, the All People’s Congress (APC) United States branch has sent out an appreciation message to sympathizers and supporters of the party.

The appreciation message surfaced after their Presidential candidate, Dr. Samura Kamara toured the US recently.

On behalf of the APC USA District and Executive Team, I want to extend our sincere thanks and appreciation to supporters and sympathizers of the Great APC Party and the entire Sierra Leone Community for attending the Town Hall Meeting with Dr. Samura Kamara,” Alimamy Sesay, Secretary General of APC USA said.

Sesay also appreciated the President and members of the APC Washington Metropolitan Chapter and The Mohamed Jagaban Kamara Movement for their assistance during the event.

In other news, High Court Judge, Adrian Fisher has requested traveling documents of Kamara as part of the trial procedure of the Sierra Leone Chancery Building matter.

Kamara, who was the country’s Foreign Minister, is in court together with other accused persons for corruption allegations.

The APC Presidential candidate has since denied the allegation tagging it as a politically motivated one.

Kamara is set to contest with the incumbent President Julius Maada Bio for the second time after losing to him in 2018 by a narrow margin.
