Lieutenant Colonel Ibrahim S. Kabbah, originally from Freetown, Sierra Leone, achieved a significant milestone in his military career by being promoted to the rank of Lieutenant Colonel in the United States Army. This achievement follows his extensive service as a Major, spanning over a commendable six-year period.

Kabbah’s journey within the U.S. military began in February 1994 when he enrolled in the U.S. Army Reserves as a Combat Medical Specialist. His commitment, expertise, and relentless effort paved the way for his commendable rise through the ranks.

Born to Hannah Turay and Abubakarr Siddique Kabbah, Ibrahim Kabbah’s roots are deeply embedded in Sierra Leone. Raised by his grandparents, he shares a strong familial connection with his homeland. Notably, his grandfather, OC Joseph Rahman Mansaray, was a respected figure within the Sierra Leone Police force. Tragically, Kabbah’s grandmother, Haja Emmah Mansaray, who played a pivotal role in raising him, passed away in Freetown in 2003.

Despite the geographical distance, Kabbah remains closely tied to his family in Sierra Leone, cherishing the fond memories of his childhood. His family’s unwavering support has been a cornerstone of his career, a constant source of encouragement throughout his journey in the military.
