The United States Ambassador to Sierra Leone, David Bryan Hunt, visited the Central University in Mile 91 to explore the institution’s initiatives aimed at empowering the next generation through technology and innovation.

The visit, which was hosted today, 27th June, 2025, underscored the importance of fostering a tech-savvy workforce to strengthen the private sector in Sierra Leone.

During his visit, Ambassador Hunt expressed his gratitude to the university leadership for their warm hospitality.

He specifically acknowledged U.S. exchange alumni Vice Chancellor Prof. Bob Conteh, a Humphrey Fellow, and Director of Quality Assurance and International Affairs Gibril Sesay, who played pivotal roles in facilitating the visit.

Ambassador Hunt stated, “We look forward to future engagements with the school as we pursue our shared goals of supporting a tech and innovation-driven workforce for a strong private sector.”
