The Chozen Generation Sierra Leone (CGSL) has announced that the second National Debating Championship for Girls has now reached its highly anticipated semi-final stage.
In this stage, four schools have successfully advanced to the semi-finals of the CGSL Championship.
Providence International and John F Kennedy Secondary Schools will engage in a debate on the topic: “Female Genital Mutilation should be banned for females of all ages.”
Meanwhile, Bacon High and The International School will also compete in the other semi-final battle, deliberating on the topic: “Feminism has destroyed the fabric of the African Culture.”
These thrilling semi-final matches are scheduled to take place on the 30th of May 2023 at 11:00 am, at the Africell American Corner.
Expectations are high for impassioned arguments, powerful public speaking, and the unwavering determination of these young women to overcome obstacles and advocate for change.
