Sierra Leonean hip-hop artist and Peace Ambassador, Boss La, has ignited controversy on social media following a post that appears to criticize Francis Ben Kaifala, the head of the Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC).
The post, shared on Boss La’s Facebook page early Sunday morning, included language that many fans interpreted as disrespectful toward Kaifala. The controversy intensified after Kaifala posted messages praising Kaodenero, who is known to be Boss La’s rival, prompting speculation about the motivations behind Boss La’s remarks.
“Black Leo we say Hakuna Matata – it means no worries,” Kaifala wrote on his Facebook page. “I sat there like a King missing The King Kao Lastking Denero on stage!”
Kaifala’s post featuring a background photo of Boss La has generated significant online tension. Kaifala, a long-time fan of Kaodenero, had previously expressed his support for Kao in a post made in early November, stating that Kao has no competition.
In a possible response, Boss La criticized Kaifala’s hairstyle, referring to it as filthy, and allegedly urged him to focus on his job —fighting corruption. Although Boss La’s comments were not explicitly directed at Kaifala, many netizens interpreted them as being aimed at the ACC Boss.
