Martina Doherty has departed to represent Sierra Leone in the 2023 Miss Super Model World Wide in New Delhi, India.

Before she left, the beauty Queen posted on her Facebook page narrating her journey in finding a true sense of purpose.

“4 years ago, in 2019 precisely. I made the toughest decision in my life: finding a sense of purpose, becoming a beauty queen. I didn’t know where this will take me, the people I will interact with, their race, religions or where they came from but I did know one thing, I was confident and had a supportive family.

Born to loving and caring parents who understand that the world is about breaking barriers, doing the impossible. They became my shield and greatest motivation. I still remember my mother looking at me in the face, with a smile beaming on her face and saying that “If this is what you want to do, remember that you are never alone”

See where I am today, in finding my sense of purpose, in 2019– 1st Runner Up(Miss Shams, 2020 (MissBarbaraUnitited), 2020 (Miss KrooTown Road), 2021-Miss High School Africa and now in 2022/2023 I am Miss Supermodel Worldwide Sierra Leone representative and standing right here at the country’s new airport saying goodbye to my family and country and asking for your support as I represent you.

I am the youngest and darkest (with pride) lady to represent my country among the 19 contestants. If not nervous, I am overwhelmed, if not afraid, I am scared, but in all these, I am optimistic that you reading this will be right beside me.

In 24 hours, I will be arriving in beautiful city of Delhi, India to represent my country at this year’s Miss Supermodel Worldwide, among the many things, I look forward to interacting with my fellow contestants, organizers and the rest of the team. I am very much optimistic about what comes next, building relationships, bringing the crown home and most importantly continuing with my work to promote environmental cleanliness, something I hope to do with everyone across the world.
