Rising Sierra Leonean Afro-Hip Hop Artist Drizilik has called for the unveiling of a statue for one the country’s finest Musician Emmerson Bockaire.

Emmerson is widely known for his satirical music to agitate for Social and Human Rights by challenging government and people to explore development through social and economic activities that are rooted in International best practices.

Drizilik recently took to his social media page with a post “Emerson Bockarie deserves to see his own Statue in FREETOWN while he is still Alive,”

However, the post has created mixed reactions from the public whether the Controversial musician really deserves a statue.

The call for the erection of the Statue implicitly means the artwork will serve as a form of respect and remembrance to this Singer: what he stood for and fought with his Music: his awareness raising of Societal ills that are reneging the progress of Sierra Leone.

Known for his captivating live performances, Drizilik combines afrobeats with Sierra Leonean goombay, bubu, milo jazz, and hip-hop, creating a unique fusion of afrosounds.  His call is a reminder that Sierra Leonean should celebrate individuals who have impacted the society positively while they are still alive.
