Mus B – #19

At #19, we have the “Kabi Borbor” himself, Musa Jalloh (Mus B).

In a year where the industry was often dominated by high-tempo party anthems, Mus B carved out a lane for introspection and conscious music, solidifying his reputation as not just an entertainer, but a motivational speaker for the streets.

2025 was the year Mus B prescribed his musical healing to the nation via his album, notably titled “Muscillin” (also known as the More Time album). While others chased trends, the CEO of Kabi BorBor Music focused on storytelling that mirrored the harsh and hopeful realities of the average Sierra Leonean.

His defining moment of the year arrived in April with the release of the soul-stirring single, “More Time.” Produced by the prolific Wilbert, the track was a direct reaction to the sudden, tragic deaths of young people and celebrities across the country.

The song became an anthem for mortality, urging listeners to live purposefully before their time runs out. The visual, released in August, further amplified this message, resonating deeply on YouTube where his channel continues to command a strong following of over 69,000 subscribers—proof that his message connects where it matters most.

Mus B didn’t stop at reflection; he also addressed the pressures of survival. In late November, he followed up with “Slow Down,” a track addressing youth frustration and the rush for success. Accompanied by a crisp visual released in Q4, he ended the year reminding his fans that patience is as vital as hustle.

With a blend of Afrobeat, Hip-Hop, and traditional local rhythms, Mus B offered a soundtrack for the grieving and the grinding. For delivering the year’s most impactful “inspirational hit” and fearless social commentary, Mus B is the 19th Hottest Artiste in Sierra Leone 2025.
