Popular Sierra Leoneean Artist and song writer, Jooel has expressed his views on the death of Prominent Nigerian Artist Mohbad.
He described the circumstances surrounding the death of the artist as a lesson and clear manifestation of some of the things artists go through in a larger scale.
He described the situation as redemption for them despite the issue is related to Nigeria. He lamented on the struggles artists go through just to work as a solo artist. He described the said Mohbad’s issue situation as an eye opener for all.
He affirmed that since he is sensitive to things, that is the reason he decided to invest on his music career alone. He further pointed out that Mohbad’s situation is common practice artists go through globally. He advised Record Labels to grant access to artists that may want to leave.
He encouraged Sierra Leoneans to check on the people around them and their work mate.
Ilerioluwa Oladimeji Aloba, better known as Mohbad, tragically passed away about two weeks ago. Reports indicate that the 27-year-old Nigerian rapper, singer, and songwriter, passed away on Tuesday, September 12, 2023. However, the exact cause of his demise remains undisclosed at this time.
It is worth noting that Mohbad was formerly signed to Naira Marley’s “Marlian Records” but departed from the label in 2022. He had gained widespread recognition for his hit singles such as “Ponmo,” “Feel Good,” and “KPK (Ko Por Ke)” in collaboration with Rexxie.
