Red Flag Muzik management officially announced today the cancellation of the highly anticipated “Na So Ar Dae” King Boss LA Live in Concert, which was scheduled to take place on April 24, 2026.
According to a press release dated April 22, the decision to halt the event is a direct result of ongoing legal challenges facing the artist. Management emphasized that the “freedom and well-being of King Boss LA and Prezo Koroma remain our utmost priority at this time.”
While organizers noted their initial commitment to delivering an unforgettable experience “with or without” the artist’s physical presence, they ultimately concluded that proceeding with the event under current circumstances beyond their control was not possible.
The announcement comes just a day after a scheduled April 21 court hearing was stalled due to the absence of the presiding magistrate. The court has adjourned the case to April 28, 2026, effectively keeping the artist in custody through his planned concert date.
The charges stem from a March 21, 2026, incident at the Bo Shopping Plaza. During a live performance, the rapper allegedly referred to Kenema Mayor Thomas Karimu Baio as “a bastard.” The remarks were captured on video and rapidly circulated across social media platforms, leading to the arrest of both King Boss LA and Prezo Koroma.
Since his detention, King Boss LA has made multiple public displays of remorse. During an April 8 court appearance, he reportedly knelt before Mayor Baio in the courtroom to plead for forgiveness. This was followed by a formal public statement on April 9, in which he acknowledged that his emotional outburst “fell short of the level of respect and responsibility expected” of him as a Peace Ambassador and public figure.
Despite these apologies, Magistrate Samuel James Brima declined to dismiss the charges at the time, ruling that criminal proceedings must run their course and noting that an apology “does not override the judicial process.”
Outside the courtroom, efforts to mediate the conflict have been complex. On April 11, key stakeholders from Kenema convened at Mayor Baio’s private residence to discuss a potential reconciliation.
Despite the cancellation, Red Flag Muzik assured fans that the concert will eventually return in due time. To provide a silver lining, management revealed that several major projects are currently in production.
The management team extended its “deepest apologies” for the inconvenience caused by the abrupt cancellation, directing their message to partners, family, well-wishers, and key sponsors—specifically acknowledging Africell SL and 1XBet SL.
“We firmly believe that RFM fans are the best in Sierra Leone and across the world, and time and again, you prove the power of unconditional love,” the statement read, assuring supporters that their dedication is not taken for granted.
They urged all fans to remain calm and focused, refrain from engaging with detractors or rumour peddlers, avoid sharing unverified information regarding the legal proceedings, and desist from making negative or harmful comments toward any parties involved in the matter.
