Lachaeveh Davies, the newly crowned Miss Sierra Leone, has departed for Hyderabad, India, to represent her country at the 2025 Miss World pageant.
Davies, who also holds the title of Miss Freetown (Western Area Rural), won the national crown on Tuesday, April 29, at the Bintumani Conference Centre, triumphing over 15 other contestants from across Sierra Leone.
Beyond her beauty and poise, Davies brings a wealth of experience and passion to the global stage. With a background in student politics, volunteering, and climate change advocacy, she embodies courage, brilliance, and a commitment to representing her Sierra Leone.
She previously held titles such as Miss Freetown 2024 and Miss University of the North, demonstrating her dedication to leadership and service.
The 72nd Miss World pageant is currently underway in Hyderabad, India, running from May 7 to 31. The prestigious event is hosting representatives from 140 countries, with contestants having arrived in the city on May 6 and 7.
A grand opening ceremony is scheduled for May 10 at Gachibowli Indoor Stadium, featuring traditional Telangana folk and tribal dances. The itinerary includes several sub-competitions, such as the Miss World Sports Finale on May 17 at Gachibowli Indoor Stadium, followed by the Continental Finale at T-Hub on May 20 and 21.
The Miss World Talent Finale will be held at Shilpakala Vedika on May 22, with the head-to-head challenge final at ISB on May 23, and the Miss World Top Model and Fashion Finale taking place at Hitex on May 24.
The pageant culminates with the Miss World 2025 Grand Finale at Hitex on May 31, where the new winner will be crowned by her predecessor, Krystyna Pyszková of the Czech Republic.
