popular Sierra Leonean musician Mohamed Jimmy Rogers, aka Manzu and widely known as ‘Manzu avec C-bolt,’ has recently addressed his fans regarding the controversy surrounding his support for President Julius Maada Bio in the 2023 elections.

In a heartfelt message, Manzu expressed his sincere apologies to those who may be upset with him due to his political stance.

To some of my fans at home and abroad, I’m honestly sorry if you are mad at me because I supported His Excellency Julius Maada Bio for President 2023,” Manzu said.

Recognizing his fans’ diverse opinions and emotions, he emphasized his identity as a fellow Sierra Leonean and urged everyone to understand that they are all part of the same nation, with the right to make their own choices.

Using the local Krio language, Manzu further conveyed his plea for unity and reconciliation.

Una cuss me mama, una cuss me die foot,” he said, which translates to “You abuse my mother, you abuse my polio feet.” He lamented that the elections had caused divisions among his fans, leading to personal attacks.

Now that the elections are over, he appealed to his followers to move forward and embrace a spirit of “unity in diversity.”

Closing his message with words of love and gratitude, Manzu expressed his deep appreciation for his fans’ continued support. “I love you and thank you all. God bless my fans,” he concluded.
