Renowned musician and businessman in Sierra Leone, Nasser Ayoub, has issued a rallying call to fellow entertainers and music enthusiasts in the country, urging them to think strategically and act judiciously for the betterment of the local music industry.

Ayoub, known for his contributions to the music and charity, directed a plea to his compatriots within the music industry, encouraging them to elevate their efforts in the quest for producing and sustaining high-quality sounds. Emphasizing the importance of organic appreciation, he stressed that attempting to force public approval for one’s work is counterproductive. Ambien

In a challenge to his fellow artists, Ayoub urged them to create music that competes on a global scale, specifically referencing Nigerian music, which has gained significant prominence in comparison to Sierra Leonean music. He asserted that artists should aim to produce songs that match or surpass the quality of their Nigerian counterparts.

“Just like how Sierra Leoneans love the English Premier League, similarly, they have embraced Afro beats, especially Nigerian music. You cannot force people to listen to what you think is good. Music knows no boundaries. If you believe you are better than most Nigerian artists, then prove it. Compete with them. Stop attributing the lack of success of Sierra Leonean songs to excuses. Music is a lucrative industry. If you find yourself struggling financially, it’s time to focus on producing authentic and competitive work rather than blaming external factors,” Ayoub passionately stated.

His message underscores the need for self-improvement, healthy competition, and a commitment to raising the standards of Sierra Leonean music in the global arena.
