Actress and TV presenter, Phebean Swill is calling for victims of leaked private videos to take legal action against those responsible.

Her comment comes following a disturbing trend of leaked explicit videos and images featuring Sierra Leonean personalities going viral on social media.

“Anytime your nudes are leaked, lawyer up and sue the mother*ucker you sent it to,” Swill stated in a recent post. “Let him explain how it ended up in public. Make them pay legally.”

Recently, a video featuring Salone/American TikToker Vidal and his new wife Dija was leaked just days after their wedding.

In another incident, Sierra Leonean socialite Sia Savage revealed during a live interview with blogger Hawanatu Konneh that explicit content featuring her was shared by a married “sugar daddy” who betrayed her trust. Sia described the man as “wicked” and claimed he intentionally leaked the videos to exploit her vulnerable situation.

Hawanatu Konneh herself became a victim of this alarming trend when a sex video featuring her filmed in 2014 was leaked and widely circulated on WhatsApp. The blogger publicly accused her ex-husband, Gibrill Bangura, of being responsible for the leak.

These incidents have sparked widespread outrage and concern in Sierra Leone, with many questioning the motivations behind such acts and calling for greater protection for victims.

Swill’s call for legal action aligns with some social media commentators view about the need to hold perpetrators accountable and deter future incidents.
